Bungalow
Bliss

The plan for this project was to completely gut and redo the kitchen and breakfast nook to all new kitchen space as well as convert the original garage space to living space which would be utilized as their new family room.  We first framed in the old garage doors and installed 4 new windows to flood in natural light, we replaced the old man door with a new 3/4 glass door for easy access to the patio for grilling.  One of the requests was a small kitchen space in the new family room to act as a grilling  prep station.  We installed new prefinished cabinets with a butcher block top and an undermount sink.  We put in a trash rollout for easy access as well as a space for an upright fridge and freezer with storage above.  The floors were leveled and finished off with LVP,  The opening into this space was widened from the existing small door access in the kitchen which allows the two rooms to feel like one.  The steps into the new family room are white oak wood treads the width of the new opening.  The kitchen however is the real showstopper if this renovation. We completely gutted the original kitchen that was small with very little counter space.  The homeowners had already removed the washer and dryer from the closet in the kitchen to create new additional kitchen space.  We installed 3 new large windows over the new kitchen sink.  Which completely floods in natural light and makes the kitchen so light and bright even in the evening all the new ceiling lighting that was added still creates a light kitchen.  Then homeowners wanted some charm in this space and wanted color in their kitchen so we were able to paint the cabinets in a beautiful gray green that is popped by the white oak accents.  We really put the empahsis on the new panryt set up which has all inset doors and drawers allowing us to combo the cabinetry in both the green and white oak.  Over at the new gas cooktop we installed a custom hood that now direct vents out of the home and banded it in a white oak band framed by white oak floating shelves.  The subtle white subway is the perfect backdrop to this new space.  One of the most unique features of this kitchen is the wall ovens selected by the homeowners as the doors to these ovens open to the side allowing easy access into the oven without having to reach around the doors.
